Hey Reader,
It’s the first day after the clocks changed, and I woke up to a 93 sleep score. A full 7 hours and 32 minutes of rest. Outside, a proper winter chill has settled—5:45 p.m. and already peach-dark—but sitting here, wrapping up this busy week, feels strangely calm.
It’s been one hell of a week: It’s been one hell of a week — full of events, early mornings, and long conversations that stretched my brain and my patience.
Sitting here wrapping up the week, it all feels strangely calm — maybe because finally I get to edit the footage from my first comedy night and see the progress.
I’m still not funny (and may never be a comedian), but seeing that version of Lydia, living through that week’s sprint, reminded me how much I can actually accomplish — and how much credit I owe myself.
A friend told me today as we caught up after 3 months, “You’ve already made a lot of progress.”
Maybe that’s the thing: when you’re living in motion, growth is hard to see. Only by pausing do we realise how far we’ve come.
So if you’re sitting with an idea, a project, or a version of yourself you’re not sure you can become—just start. That first, imperfect step is the one most people never take.
It’s getting colder here in London. I hope you have a warm escape to look forward to this winter.
Like I do. ☕️❄️
💭 A prompt for your week ahead:
Where do you need to slow down—just for a moment—to notice how far you’ve already come?
Wishing you a peaceful and productive week ahead.
from one not-so-blue Sunday,
Lydia
🎥 Watch The comedy-night video is finally live — a small reminder that starting messy still counts.
